We love BBQ, plain and simple. One thing we love just as much as great BBQ is the reaction we get when people taste or low and slow, award winning 'QUE. Our goal is to have fun, smoke some great food, and provide a great service to the people. We are located in SW Florida, but developed our style while Pit Master Steve was living in Mid-Missouri. We can proudly claim that we have been smoking for over 10 years, and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon. We have only recently branded our smoke family with a name; Porker Face BBQ. While we have spent the last 10 years 'QUEing for friends, family, fellow Paramedics and Firefighters, and small local competitions, we have now spread our wings and hit the PRO BBQ circuit and couldn't be happier. We hope to see you at one of our competitions so you can taste for yourself. A little about our team: Pit Master, FL BBQ Association Certified BBQ Judge- Steve Lupe. Steve grew up in Ohio with a love for the taste of fire on his food. After moving to Mid-Missouri in the 1990's and tasting smoke for the first time, it was all over. The learning ensued and he hasn't looked back since. Currently a Paramedic for his "day job", Steve has also BBQ'd for several EMS functions to support First Responders in his community. Co-Owner/Manager/Competition Box Superstar- Theresa Lupe. Theresa grew up in Mid-Missouri surrounded by smokers and BBQ from the beginning. Her grandfather was local BBQ legend MC Ripetto, proprietor of Rip's BBQ. You will see Theresa at the front line of any of the BBQ competitions serving you your BBQ with a warm Missouri smile. Mark Lupe / Assistant Pitmaster FL BBQ Association Certified BBQ Judge. Being Steve's Father he been there since the beginning. Mark taught Steve how to grill from a young age. While Mark may let Steve do most of the cooking now he's usually around giving advice and always willing to lend his taste buds to improve the que.
